Holy Spirit 17- The Seven Spirits of God- Part 4

We have been studying the 7 Spirits of God listed in Is. 11:1-2. We have said that the 7 Spirits of God represent the 7 fold manifestation of the same Holy Spirit and the perfection of the Spirit of God.

THE SPIRIT OF COUNSEL. Is. 11:2 This is one of the grace upon Jesus the Christ when Isaiah describe Him as the Wonderful Counsellor (Is. 9:6) EXTRAORDINARY STRATEGIST. It means His counsel is the best available one. The spectrum of His Counsel ranges from Spiritual to physical matters. The Psalmist says in 16:7 'I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins(spirit) also instruct me in the night seasons. This should be your confession every time.

Ahithophel of David's time functioned in this grace. 2Sam.16:23. The Bible says 'And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom,'.
The meaning is that Ahithophel's advice is like a 'Thus saith the Lord'.

This is the operation of the Spirit of Counsel within a human vessel. If you are reading this post, you don't need to be at crossroads concerning any matter no more. Words like
'I'm confused', 'I don't know what to do' etc should never come out of your mouth again.

Invite the Holy Spirit and He will counsel you. He will lead you in the way you should go. Remember that He knows the future better than you know the past. Halleloyah. Glory to God.

PRAYER OF ENQUIRY Prayer is a well established and accepted doctrine in all denominations of the body of Christ. Although, there are differences in our modes of prayer, we all believe in the efficacy of lifting up our voice to God to hear our requests and answer them. As much as we do a lot of this, we don't take the full advantage of it as children of God. We would rather worry and think things through rather than calling on God for help. This can be due to lack of faith in the power of God or being slothful in prayers. Apart from the aforementioned factors that prevent us from enjoying the efficacy of prayers, one key factor that prayer hinges on is praying correctly. To pray correctly simply means to pray according to the will of God. It is easy to know the will of God about sickness and poverty because they are expressly written in bible, but even at this, we still do not get answers when we pray. We have established yesterday that the 7 Spirits of God describe the 7 fold distinct manifestation of the Holy Spirit and it also describes the perfection of the Spirit of God. Holy Spirit 8- The symbol of Oil

1 Sam.16:13, Is.61:1,PS.23:5,92:10. The Oil typifies ANOINTING UPON & WITHIN A PERSON. It's an empowerment for God's Service. In the old testament, the anointing comes only on THE PRIESTS, KINGS AND PROPHETS to perform spiritual tasks. The rule hasn't changed now just THAT ALL BELIEVERS have been brought in. The anointing is NOT THAT oil you carry about in the bottle. One man of God in Nigeria once said 'THE ANOINTING IS THE HOLY SPIRIT IN A BOTTLE'. That statement is completely heretical. To appreciate the Oil Dimension of the Holy Spirit, let's look at d making of the HOLY ANOINTING OIL in old testament.
