He is responsible for bringing the necessary and the God- kind of knowledge and information that God deem fit for us to know to us. 1Jn 2:20 says But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. It means all information are at our disposal. But, the fact that all the information are at our disposal doesn't mean we practically know all things. You can have the most advanced dictionary on your table and still not know the meaning of a word.
There is the need for SEARCHING.
The Psalmist says in Psalm 77:6, I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search. However, there are 3 prominent words used for 'knowledge' relevant to our study; GINOSKO, OIDA/EIDO and EPIGNOSIS.
GINOSKO- it depicts the commencement of the process of knowledge. It is related to GNOSIS which means 'knowledge in general'. (Time won't permit me the put Bible references. I have a long way to go).
OIDA/EIDO- it means AWARENESS.1 Cor. 2:12
EPIGNOSIS- it is an after-knowledge. It is related to EPIGNOSKO. It is a knowledge with participation between the knower and the object known thus powerfully influencing him. It is the highest form of knowledge.
You can NEVER ENJOY THE BENEFIT OF ANY TRUTH IN GOD'S WORD THAT YOU DON'T HAVE EPIGNOSIS IN. Dan. 11:32 describes EPIGNOSIS.
It occurs 16 times in the new testament, used twice by Peter in his 2nd epistles while Paul used it 14 times. No wonder Peter says his writings are hard to understand and Festus says too much learning has made Paul mad.
The reason you know scriptures about healing and you are still sick is because the best you have is EIDO KNOWLEDGE. You can never remain the same with EPIGNOSIS. This is the kind of knowledge John described in 1 John 1:1.
Apostle Paul says we should pray for EPIGNOSIS KNOWLEDGE. Eph. 1:17-20, 3:19, Col. 1:9. EPIGNOSIS is a KNOWLWDGE WITH EXPERIENCE.
The end of faith is result. EPIGNOSIS is what produce result.
Don't be a Noise maker as a Christian, you can move to the level of PROVING EVERY TRUTHS IN GOD'S WORD. God's Word is tangible and provable. The Word can become flesh and dwell in your neighborhood. There are things in my life that are no longer prayer points or empty confessions. One of such aspects is my health. I have crossed from darkness into light; from trying to be healed to living in perfect health. Glory to God. The Holy Spirit has opened the seal in this aspect and I have seen into secrets that are hidden from others. Remember, the goal of the Spirit of Knowledge is to move you from general/mere knowledge WITHOUT EXPERIENCE to having a knowledge WITH EXPERIENCE IN SPECIFIC AREAS OF LIFE.
I pray that you will have the EPIGNOSIS Knowledge of what has been taught today and also in these series in Jesus' name.
