Hello everyone, I welcome you to another edition of this Prophetic Series. We are still considering the functions of Prophets. Today, we are looking at
FUNCTIONS OF PROPHETS IN THE CHURCH
Just like I said yesterday, every Local Church ought to have the five fold ministries functioning in there. This is supposed to produce well balanced Christians. Being exposed to only one type of Ministry Gift is like eating the same type of food all the time. God is the God of diversity. The uniqueness of the Church is in her diversities. The diversities is never intended to cause division but to express the multifarious dimensions of the same God.
WHAT DO PROPHETS DO IN A LOCAL CHURCH
A. The main functions of prophets in a Local Church have been highlighted in Eph. 4: 12-16;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
B. The ministry of prophets in these days and times is highly needed. In this day of massive turning from the truth, heresies and rebellion, DISCERNMENT HAS TO INCREASE.
Paul the apostle says in 1Cor 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
The level of discernment in the Church needs to increase. The operation of the spirit of error in the church is alarming. Preachers and teachers will straighten up when the level of UNDERSTANDING/DISCERNMENT in the Church increases.
C. Prophets teach and train the Church on the Prophetic gifts available to the body of Christ. This training is not just to create awareness but to move the Local Church to begin to operate in them.
D. Prophetic ministry help to activate the spiritual senses of believers in a Local Church. I am still going to teach about the Spiritual Senses in this series. The Apostle Paul says in Heb. 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
The SENSES being referred to here are THE SPIRITUAL SENSES. There is spiritual eyes, ears, mouth, etc. Spiritual sensitivity needs to increase these days. The gross immaturity and insensitivity to spiritual things in the body of Christ are what false teachers and prophets feed on to exploit the sheepfold. When everybody can see, hear and pick up information from the spiritual world,
INDIVIDUALLY, the undue attention and worship that are accorded to these microscopic few that can will reduce. The End Time Church is a Prophetic Church; from the Pulpit to the Pews. All of us should become A COMPANY OF PROPHETS. This is God's plan for this End Time. One of the main Gifts of the Spirit that God is going to massively pour out in this End Time is THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT OF SPIRITS. All of the other gifts of the Spirit have been massively poured out at different times in Church History. From the Revival of Tongues and Interpretation in Azuza Street Revival to the outpouring of Gifts of Healings in the days of Voice of Healing Revival to the Gift of Faith and Gift of Word of Wisdom and Knowledge in the Word of Faith Revival to the Workings of Miracles Revival where Gold Dust, Heavenly Manna, Gold Teeth, manifestation of Gems, etc occur in recent times. Thank God for all these outpourings. We will yet experience more. In these last days, prophetic voices are being raised to sound the alarms of what God is doing, prepare the church for it and train the Church in the exercise of these gifts for the Body to be able to fulfill God's counsel in this End times. In this End times, the FORMER AND LATTER RAIN WILL BE POUREE OUT TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME. These are the works that prophets carry out within a local Church and ultimately THE CORPORATE BODY OF CHRIST.

Heavenly Father, thank you for what you are doing in these days and times. Thank you for setting the prophets as well as other ministries in the Church. I align myself to these ministries to be equipped to do the work of ministry. I corporate 100% with you in carrying out your will at this time. Pour out your grace upon me mightily in this time in Jesus' name.
