Hello everyone, I welcome you in the name of Him who is, who was and who is to come to another day in this series. Yesterday, I talked about the humanity of Jesus and how He is the prototype of who man should be. Let me conclude on 'Project Man' so that I can go into something else. I have talked about the Divinity and Humanity of Jesus. The balance to this thing is this: JESUS NEVER OPERATED GOD. HE OPERATED 100% AS A MAN. I am going to prove this:
A. Apostle Paul told us in Phi. 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross'. It means HE DIDN'T COME TO FUNCTION ON EARTH AS A GOD BUT AS MAN. 2. John 17:5 says 'And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was'. I believe this is clear enough, if He had had this glory He referred to, He shouldn't have been praying concerning it. 3. Jesus lived a life of prayer and dependence on God when He was down here. Mk. 1:35, John 5:19. A careful study of all the healings and miracles He did showed this. Even when He had to walk on the water, He had engaged in STRETCH PRAYERS which some estimated to be about EIGHT HOURS Mt. 14: 22-29. If He had operated God like many thought, He needn't have lived a life of Prayer at all. Who would God pray to?
HOW DID JESUS OPERATE WHILE ON EARTH? He operated as A MAN ANOINTED WITH THE HOLY GHOST John 3:34, Is. 61:1-2, Rev. 5:6. He had to depend on the Holy Ghost just like we also have to do now. Another issue is this: John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
THE SPIRIT WITHOUT MEASURE. This is what has caused many disagreements among Bible Teachers. The word 'Spirit' here means 'Anointing'. When we talk about the anointing in this regard, we mean ALL KINDS OF THINGS THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN HELP A MAN TO ACCOMPLISH. Anointing here also means the Fivefold Ministry Gifts and other Ministry Gifts, Spiritual Gifts and other spiritual endowments. So, Jesus Christ embodied ALL THESE ANOINTINGS when He was down here. When Jesus died and rose again, He gave to each of us out of His fullness. John 1:16, Eph. 4:7, 11. The question now is this, CAN A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL BELIEVER HAVE THE SPIRIT WITHOUT MEASURE JUST THE SAME WAY JESUS HAD IT IN JOHN 3 VS. 34? The answer is A BIG NO! I know many preachers especially New Creation Realities have argued against this, but exercise some patience. I will tie up everything. No single believer can successfully carry all the anointings that God can give. Why? The Fullness of God is poured ON THE BODY OF CHRIST AND NOT ON A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL.
The Apostolic Anointing is the only anointing that gives you the privilege to touch other Ministry Gifts. Even at that, every apostle has a specific area of calling.
